A list of albums I think you should listen to in no particular order

鬱P

MOKSHA [2012]

Fave Track: 15. まっしろな毒

High energy vocametal most of the way through with a more somber tone towards the end. Explores some difficult topics as Utsu-P often does. A couple of the tracks have remakes on Warufuzake [2013] which I prefer, especially Corona. If you like this I would recommend the aforementioned Warufuzake and DIARRHEA [2009].

also fun fact despite being front and centre on the cover Miku is not used on the album.

墓標 [2019]

Fave Track: 2.10. 夜の終わり

Vocaloid garage rock. I like the guitar tone and a lot of the riffs. I also like the lyric about jerking off when you want to kill yourself in 頭がパー子ちゃん, it's very funny. The last track is cool but I will not explain why, it'd kinda ruin it. The first disc is remakes of his older stuff and the 2nd disc is new tracks. In a few cases I prefer the original versions, especially in the case of Enko Shoujo, I think the whispering at the end fits far better than what it was replaced with. If you like this I would recommend his other albums, they're all in the same style.

Gojira

From Mars to Sirius [2005]

Fave Track: 07. Flying Whales

Very heavy and technically impressive riffs. Tracks flow into eachother in a very satisfying way. The album is themed around the effects of climate change and reviving a dead planet. I prefer the 2018 live recording of Global Warming as I feel Joe's vocals have improved in the time since this albums release - especially the cleans. If you like this I would also recommend their 2008 album, The Way of All Flesh.

Small Maid in the Big World [2022]

Fave Track: 10. Nii-san

Who knew I'd become obsessed with a genre of russian post-rock when I got maidcore in my recommended genres on last.fm and then listened to some to find out wtf it was? A completely instrumental album with some fun guitar to listen to. Sprinklings of breakbeats every now and then. My favourite track is Nii-san due to the meandering guitar lead at the end. Love that shit. Fuck this album cover for being rectangular and ruining my formatting though. If you enjoy this I'd recommend Polyneuroparty pt.2 by Yakui the Maid. To briefly explain the maids thing, some russian people decided to start making music under the alias of some 2chan characters called the Nijiura maids. Idk why. Be wary if you look this up on your own time because a lot of them have the cultural sensitivity you'd expect of something spawned from a *chan.

they do be making good music tho
